Where is it ? Olhao  is about Ten kilometres east of Faro Airport. About 15 minutes by car on a straight road along the N125.
How big is it ? Olhao is a fishing village and has a small population, however it has a fine sandy river beach which can get crowded during the summer period.

Olhao is in the far eastern tip of the Algarve about 10km from Faro airport. A major port town Olhaos trawlers provide a lot of the seafood that you dine on in the Algarve.The old Fishermans quarter and its fish market is where you find the freshest Algarvian sea food.

The town is also famous for its turn of the century cubist architecture and has a very north African look.
